James and Jazz first met in 2017 while studying Production & Technical Arts at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Since then, they have each forged successful careers within the Theatre and Events industry.

James has built a strong reputation as a Freelance Lighting Technician, working across a range of high-end West End and touring productions in both Theatre and Television. His work is known for its precision, creativity, and technical excellence.

Jazz pursued a career as a Scenic Carpenter and has since designed, constructed, and installed an impressive array of scenic projects for Theatre and live Events across the UK. Jazz has also obtained his HGV License and has since Toured across the UK & Europe with well known artists such as Bastille & Lady Gaga.

Illumination Events Limited was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, when both James and Jazz faced job losses due to the widespread disruption in the entertainment industry. Determined to stay connected to their passion, they joined forces to launch a limited company dedicated to delivering exceptional event production services for Weddings and Events.

Their combined experience in the fast-paced world of Theatre and Events, along with their strong technical backgrounds and creative vision, ensures that every project is executed to the highest standard. With a shared commitment to quality and a deep understanding of live performance environments, James and Jazz help clients bring their event and wedding ideas to life — with professionalism, energy, and flair.
